The snare wire for 14" Radio King snare drums utilizing the Slingerland 3-point strainer (used from 1950s -70s) have 16 strands, an overall length of 15 7/8", and a strand length of 15" (including the soldered area on each end-plate). Both end plates have a steel strap riveted to the center...one with a length of 2 3/4" and the other with a length of 5". Puresound's Vintage Series snare wires are designed not only to replace worn and no longer available wires on vintage snares, they are also designed to enhance the performance of those classic drums.
