With the introduction of Stage custom in 1995 YAMAHA once again sets the standards of value and sound. By borrowing from our legendary recording Custom drums, we are proud to introduce new 100% Birch Shell stage Custom.
The Stage Custom Birch features 6-ply 100% birch shells with 45 degree bearing edges. The staggered diagonal seam allows us to build a thin shell that is strong and built to last. The beautiful high-gloss lacquer finish and low-mass lugs lets the shell vibrate for superb tone and sustain. These drums are complimented by Yamaha's legendary YESS to mount system which maximises the resonance of the drum by taking the tom mount away from the shell and mounting it on the Nodal point.
